About the API Core Team
Shawn
Shawn serves as President and Chief Engineer, bringing nearly three decades of experience in the industrial process valve industry. A mechanical engineer by training, he has been working with control valves since 1996, building a global reputation as a knowledgeable, practical, and easy-to-work-with expert. Over a 22-year career with a leading control valve manufacturer, Shawn contributed to a wide range of complex projects and developed deep technical expertise that continues to guide his leadership today.
Shawn holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and is the inventor on more than 30 U.S. patents related to the control valve industry. His passion for innovation and problem-solving has been a driving force throughout his career.
The foundation of API Solutions was built on strong professional relationships. Shawn and his core team first collaborated on a major design-build project while working at different organizations—an experience that ultimately led to the formation of API Solutions in 2015. Since then, Shawn has led the company in delivering practical, forward-thinking solutions while staying committed to the evolving needs of customers.
Under his leadership, API Solutions prides itself on being a trusted partner to American industry—solving today’s challenges while helping customers prepare for what’s next.

Julie
As the Office Manager at API Solutions, Julie handles accounting, payroll, and all things finance – basically, if it involves numbers, it usually ends up on her desk. With seven years of experience, she keeps things organized, balanced, and running smoothly behind the scenes.
Julie joined the team in 2025 and quickly got up to speed supporting a company that keeps the process industries moving. She brings a little structure to the chaos and makes sure everything adds up the way it should.
Outside of work, she spends her time with family, gardening, and dabbling in homesteading. She comes with a side of sarcasm and loves a good joke – but always takes the numbers seriously, even if she doesn’t take everything else that way.
Brycelyn
Brycelyn is the Office Assistant at API Solutions, where she helps keep day-to-day operations running smoothly for a pipefitting company serving the process industries. With four years of accounting experience, she joined the team in 2026 and now handles everything from office organization to safety paperwork and supporting important behind-the-scenes programs—basically making sure nothing important gets lost in the shuffle (or on someone’s desk).
She works closely with the office team to keep things organized, the field crews on track, and to gently remind everyone that paperwork does, in fact, matter.
Outside of work, Brycelyn enjoys life on her family farm with her husband and two children. Between kids, animals, and chores, there’s never a dull moment—and she wouldn’t have it any other way (even if she sometimes suspects the laundry multiplies on its own).
